Next week marks the start of what has become known as “OSAC Week” in Washington, DC. The entire SMR team will be attending various events in Washington this week, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Security500

The week kicks off on Monday with the flagship Security500 conference. Registration for this year’s event has well exceeded that of years past, with senior-most security executives from over 200 of the leading international private- and public-sector organizations scheduled to attend. In addition to the awards for Most Influential in Security, the agenda is packed with top-of-mind content for today’s professional security leaders. Keynoting the event will be Michael C. McGarrity, Assistant Director, Counterterrorism Division, FBI.

OSAC Women in Security

Tuesday offers the second annual Women in Security networking event as the start to the Overseas Security Advisory Council events. There was an overwhelming amount of interest in this year’s program and registration has closed. The keynote address for this year’s event will be from Carol Haave, Chief Security Officer of Live Nation Entertainment. Plan to register early for next year’s event!

OSAC Annual Briefing

Wednesday marks the start of the remaining two-days of the Annual Overseas Security Advisory Council Briefing. This year finds the main briefing returning to the State Department venue, with keynote address by the Deputy Secretary of State, John J. Sullivan. While registration for the live event is closed, you can still watch the Annual Briefing openings sessions on your computer or mobile device. Register on the OSAC website ahead of time to view the livestream.

6th ISF Annual OSAC Appreciation Dinner

Wednesday evening will find a capacity crowd in attendance at the 6th ISF Annual OSAC Appreciation Dinner. The event celebrates the dedication and expertise of OSAC personnel and the tireless work of OSAC Constituent Councils. This year’s Keynote remarks will be given by General Michael V. Hayden, Former CIA and NSA Director. This highly-anticipated event is currently sold out, however there is a wait list.  Sponsoring a table next year for this highly worthwhile event will ensure you’re in attendance in 2019!
